Someone asked me yesterday how to create a wordpress template. And today we have a new tutorial explaining hot to create a premium wordpress theme. For this tutorial we need a new set of brushes. You can download this set HERE

Before we start creating this tutorial please download this set of corner brushes. let’s start this tutorial with a new document. please choose the following sizes : 760 x 770 pixels ( white background )

Select rectangular marquee tool, and create 3 different shapes

We will create a new photoshop pattern

Create a new document 3 x 3 pixels ( with a transparent background ), then zoom this document to 1600 pixels

Select Pencil Tool ( set the brush size to 1 pixel ) then create a diagonal line.

Go to Edit > define pattern…

Choose a name for you pattern and click OK

Select the big rectangle and add the following layer styles.

This is my result ( the following image is zoomed at 300 % )

Select the second rectangle ( the middle one ) and add the following layer style

Now we will apply another layer styles for the third rectangle ( the orange shape )

This is my result

With Rectangle tool, i will create another 2 shapes. i will use two different colors. in this way you can understand better what i am trying to do

For the both shapes i will use the following layer styles :

Result

Create a new layer, then with the brushes you have downloaded from Photo-Shop-Brush add some details in the corner of the shapes

Select the blue layer shape, and duplicate this layer. ( press CTRL+J to duplicate ) then select both layers in your layer palette, and press on CTRL+E ( this will merge both layers into a single one )

With eraser tool, you need to select the right bottom corner of the shape

Do the same with the red shape

Create a new layer ( press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N ), then with brush tool ( select a smooth round brush ), make a single point on the top of your layout

Change the opacity value for this layer to 30%

This is my result

With type tool, ad some text

Then for each post, we will create some round shape. You can use Rounded rectangle tool to create some small shapes

for all these shapes you can add the same layer styles

In this Photoshop tutorial you will learn how to create a nice portfolio layout. For this tutorial you will need to download 2 sets of brushes. The first one is from Brush-Mania , and the second one is Cloud brushes set from Photo-Shop-Brush.

Let’s start by creating a new document. In my next layout tutorials i will use the same settings for each new document. In your projects you can use any size you want.

In this tutorial we will use some nice stock photos. All this HI-Res photos are available in the Zip file. Please note that only VIP members can download our source files, and VIP downloads. The next files are in PSD file format ( without background )

Open the grass image and place it on your document

After that you will need a image with some clouds. You can find alone such an image, or you can create a gradient, then you can use the brushes from Photo-Shop-Brush . In my case i will use a stock image with some clouds, and i will place the layer right above the background layer

This is my result

I will place on my layout also the other stock images

Select Rounded rectangle tool, and create 2 shapes

Add some layer styles for this 2 shapes.

This is my result

The next step is to add some text on our layout

You can open the lady bird image, and with move tool, you can drag on your layout. you will need to resize this image, because it is hi-res

I have duplicated the lady bird layer a few times, and i have placed like in the following image.

To duplicate a layer, first you need to select it, then you need to press on CTRL+J

This is my final result. Simple isn’t it ?

If you want you can use the brushes, to add some birds on your layout
